Southern Cross Care Edens Landing is a retirement village comprising 66 independent living units that include one, two and three bedroom units.

Resident parking is accommodated by garages attached to each unit save for the single bedroom units that have a detached carport facility nearby the units.

Aged care facilities and community care services are also located on site.

The land and buildings are owned by Southern Cross Care and residents purchase a License to occupy the units and pay a monthly General Service Fee while living in the village.

About the village

Southern Cross Care Edens Landing is a village that is terraced around a hilltop so each unit has some form of outlook from its rear wooden decking.  The village boasts beautiful landscaped gardens and plenty of trees and shrubs which are home to a variety of native animals and because units are not fenced, the feeling of freedom is enhanced.

Facilities include a Community Centre and an outdoor pool along with under cover barbecue facilities. Within the Community Centre is a fully equipped modern kitchen, bar, pool table plus a library area. The Community Centre hosts village activities plus is available at any time for individual resident use when entertaining family or friends.

Residents activities include Happy Hour each Friday night, Fish and Chip Fridays (Lunch) along with other activities residents come together and enjoy Board and Card Games.  The village also organizes activities for events such as Melbourne Cup and Australia Day and all residents are welcome to join in. In addition the village has a Bus which is used to take residents on excursions and weekly shopping trips to local shopping centres.

The village has on onsite Manager (Mon – Fri) and Maintenance staff who look after the grounds and routine maintenance of the common areas. Individual resident gardens are attended to by staff however residents are also permitted to work in their own garden if they wish.

About the location

Southern Cross Care is located in a quiet leafy area of Edens Landing nestled against parklands and close to amenities and public transport.  The adjoining parkland has walkways through the area so you can enjoy the tranquil settings and listen to the wildlife.

Public transport is on the door step with a Bus Stop near the entrance to the village and the Edens Landing Train Station within 200m.

The nearby Rainbow Shopping Centre is about a 300m walk from the village and hosts a Medical Centre, Chemist, QML Laboratories, Dentist, Starmart Supermarket, Liquorland, Hairdresser, Fish and Chips, Bakery and a Sushi shop.

A short bus trip will take you either of Holmview Shopping Centre or Beenleigh Marketplace for an abundance of local shopping which includes Coles and Woolworths outlets.
